In October, we had the privilege of collaborating with Philippine Mangeart from Atelier Aube, as she visited from France to hold a one-of-a-kind Plant Walk & Natural Dye workshop on botanical dyeing, where textile art & the natural world came together.

As the group ventured into the Vienna Prater, everybody was invited to closely observe the surrounding flora and gather various barks, plants & fruit, to learn from Philippine about their respective uses & dyeing properties.

Back at Ferment Kiosk, Philippine provided an introduction to natural dyeing, showcasing different dyeing techniques and natural dyes. Participants then continued to create their very own patterns on silk and linen fabrics on an afternoon full of natural exploration and playful experimentation.
